Artefact (2022/23) is a work of speculative fiction that contemplates the evolution of human society as our species progresses, develops, and adapts to a changing world.

It projects and reflects on what we might value in 500 years - imagining our future generation’s culture and religion, and their relationship with, and understanding of 2023 through their archaeology.

While forward-looking, the work is firmly in the present, meditating on today’s obsessions, indirectly posing questions about what is truly important to our present society. It considers what will endure from our era, and the legacies of our priorities.
