earthwithhands: REVEAL

An exhibition of clay sculptures and night projection exploring traces from the ‘earth with hands’ social sculpture of more than
500kg of clay. Made from recycled clays gifted to the project by generous artists and local
clay studios, it evolved into a cognitive architecture of humans in nature. Sliced into brick
proportions, nature has once again become object and will be for sale by weight.

Rory Daniel and I ponder on how the clay led passer-by visitors to dwell in the gallery and work
with the clay as nature, and decided to create this special exhibition of smaller works to
REVEAL and celebrate the marbling of colours and traces of hands hidden in the larger form.
