Bio 

Sarah Read is a mixed media visual artist based in Wellington, NZ.
She was born in the UK and studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1994 she moved to Aotearoa NZ and trained in contemporary jewellery.  Since then, she has exhibited widely locally and internationally.
Her work has a conceptual base and often features social practice, collaboration or third-party participation.
